Madison, NC-- A homeowner in Madison, NC said jewelry went missing from her home after she tried to help someone make some money.
The woman told Rockingham County Deputies she offered to pay a woman, who said needed extra money, clean her house. The woman said she found $3745 in personal jewelry missing from her residence.
Investigators said they determined that Leslie Elaine Coore, 27, of Stokesburg Road in Walnut Cove had stolen the jewelry. They said Coore had access to house when she cleaned it.
A Detective working the case said most of the stolen jewelry was found and had been pawned. Detectives arrested and charged Leslie Coore with: larceny, possession of stolen goods, and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Coore is in the Rockingham County Jail under a $6,000 bond.
Deputies said Coore also had outstanding warrants from Guilford County for larceny, breaking & entering with larceny, possession of stolen Goods, and Injury to Real Property. Coore received an additional $6,000 bond for these offenses.
